Unofficial Winamp Maintenance WACUP is available for download today

Winamp's current owner, Radionomy, has promised to continue to update this world-renowned multimedia player last year, but has not revealed any new features. For fans who can't wait, there is a way to quickly enjoy this historical memory: The Winamp Community Update Project (WACUP) announced that it will begin offering third-party versions of Winamp 5.666 to provide users with a better maintenance release.

Today, the first preview release brings a series of improvements and many bug fixes and has begun to offer downloads with version number 1.0.0.3174.

WACUP provides the same familiar Winamp experience, faster loading and improved performance, with support for Discor, and a more efficient way to handle lost files in library playlists.

The Radionomy of the Deity promises to overhaul the current Winamp version by 2019, but there is no movement at the moment.
