Rumors about the iPad Pro 2018: thin frames, a new smart connector, the lack of a 3.5mm connector, etc.

Rumors about the iPad Pro 2018

The network has information that the 10.5-inch iPad Pro 2 generation and 12.9-inch iPad Pro 3 generations will be smaller than their predecessors.
According to rumors, the size of the first will be 247.5 x 178.7 x 6 mm. For comparison, the size of the current 10.5-inch model is 250.6 x 174.1 x 6.1 mm.
The dimensions of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro will be 280 x 215 x 6.4 mm, which is much smaller than the old one - 305.7 x 220.6 x 6.9 mm. The larger model was reduced more strongly than the 10.5-inch. Now it will be more convenient to carry the tablet with you.
Apple will be able to reduce the size due to the refusal of the Touch ID, the replacement of which will come Face ID. However, earlier there were rumors that Face ID on the tablets would not be able to recognize faces in a horizontal position, which would be a problem for those who use their iPad in this way.
Unfortunately, the trend that began with the release of the iPhone 7, will not stop - the new iPad Pro will not have a headphone jack. Moreover, bundled with the tablets will not even have a 3.5mm-Lightning adapter.
Apple will also change the location of the Smart Connector - it will be moved to the Lightning port. If this is the case, then the new tablets will be incompatible with all existing accessories.
In addition, the keyboard for new models will also have to be vertical. This will be unusual for most users, so let's see if the rumors are true.
New information aroused many questions about the upcoming line of iPad Pro. If all the information above turns out to be true, then many will certainly refuse to buy new models.
