How to set up navigation in Maps on Apple Watch with watchOS 5

How to set up navigation in Maps on Apple Watch with watchOS 5

In watchOS 5, there are new options for the Maps application for Apple Watch, including the setting of cornering notifications when navigating.
Previously, they could only be turned on or off. You could not leave a notice, for example, only when driving, but turn them off when walking on foot. In watchOS 5, you can set up cornering notifications for each category.

How to set up navigation on Apple Watch

By default, cornering notifications are active when walking, driving and driving with CarPlay. If you have an Apple Watch with watchOS 5, you can set up notifications to your liking.
1) Open the Apple Watch application on your iPhone with iOS 12.
2) Click the tab with your clock and select the Maps application.
3) In the notifications section, select when they can be displayed: walking, driving and driving with CarPlay.
You can enable or disable the switch next to each of the items. If you use the navigator on your iPhone or iPad, you can disable everything. If you like, when notifications arrive immediately on all devices, the options can be left active.
To recognize the direction through Apple Watch is easy and convenient thanks to the vibration patterns.
  • Turn left - intermittent vibration.
  • Turning to the right is a prolonged vibration.
In the Clock settings, these options can not be changed yet, but it is possible that such an option will appear in the final version of the update.
