Apple will transfer all its employees to 1Password

The new BGR report says that Apple plans to cooperate and "possibly buy" AgileBits, which released 1Password, the most popular password manager for iOS and Mac.

According to the report, after months of meditation, Apple finally decided to transfer 100,000 of its employees to the 1Password application. This applies even to sellers in stores. The company managed to negotiate with 1Password and get a free family subscription for all Apple employees.
About 100 employees will start using 1Password from this week, in 100 000 should go to the application in the next couple of months.
The Apple agreement with AgileBits contains very specific conditions. Its code name is B2. Apple employees should wait for a response from technical support no more than 4 hours, and all support documents must be available in all major international languages. AgileBits was not ready to cope with such an influx of users, so it used a third-party service to provide support for Apple under the contract.
Apple will use a special version of 1Password with iCloud synchronization on all devices and platforms. The company was considering the possibility of using a version with synchronization via Amazon AWS, but that would be less secure.
This solution Apple will lead to the fact that all employees of the company will store their logins and passwords in 1Password, and this makes sense. This will help improve safety.
It is not known how much Apple paid AgileBits for this transaction. However, after signing the agreement, the management and employees of AgileBits received premium payments
The article also suggests that Apple wants to buy AgileBits, but this information has already been formally disproved. In iOS and on Mac there is a Keychain password manager, and the company is not going to replace it completely.
